چکیده

In this review, we mainly summarized the structure distortion, molecular engineering, electron–phonon coupling effect, external temperature and pressure, metal ion doping that influence self-trapped exciton emission of low-dimensional halides (LDMHs).

Statistics of Exciton Emission in a Semiconductor Microcavity: Detuning and Exciton-Exciton Effects

We consider the interaction of quantum light with an ideal semiconductor microcavity. We investigate photon statistics in different conditions and the presence of detuning and exciton-exciton interaction. We show that in the resonant interaction and absence of the exciton-exciton interaction, the state of the whole system can be considered as   coherent state. According to our results, it turns...

Low - dimensional trapped gases

Recent developments in the physics of ultracold gases provide wide possibilities for reducing the dimensionality of space for magnetically or optically trapped atoms. The goal of these lectures is to show that regimes of quantum degeneracy in two-dimensional (2D) and one-dimensional (1D) trapped gases are drastically different from those in three dimensions and to stimulate an interest in low-d...

Electronic structure of the self - trapped sodium chloride exciton in

The electronic structure of the relaxed exciton in sodium chloride is investigated using a Hartree-Fock method. The model concentrates on a cluster of two sodium and two chlorine ions surrounded by an array of point charges. The excited states of the exciton and the associated transitions are discussed. The results are compared with experiment and with the phenomenological models proposed by ea...

Two-dimensional self-trapped nonlinear photonic lattices.

We predict theoretically and generate in a photorefractive crystal two-dimensional self-trapped periodic waves of different symmetries, including vortex lattices-patterns of phase dislocations with internal energy flows. We demonstrate that these nonlinear waves exist even with anisotropic nonlocal nonlinearity when the optically-induced periodic refractive index becomes highly anisotropic, and...
